About
Foumalade was an audiovisual creation studio serving the artistic community. Coming from the fields of cinema, photography and graphic design, Étienne Després, Robert Desroches and David Plasse founded Foumalade in the winter of 2007. They worked with artists of all backgrounds to support their independent efforts and work towards a sovereign and liberating art.
They have worked notably with Moment Factory, Melissa Auf der Maur, Cirque Éloize, Ensemble Contemporain de Montréal, Opéra de Montréal and Van Grimde Corps Secrets. Their work was presented at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal. Their photography work was seen in several exhibitions, among which Applied Arts, Lux and CAPIC, and several publications, including Elle Québec, Fashion Magazine and Voir.
Foumalade has shut down on September 1st, 2013. The founders' future projets will be posted here when they are known; until then, it is still possible to contact them at bonjour@foumalade.org.
